Tara McCallum serves as an administrative assistant and supports the partners with the day-to-day operations of the firm. She has a wide variety of duties, including timekeeper accounting and billing, processing accounts payable, responding to client requests for billing and accounting information, and initiating vendor orders and resolving any resulting problems. She maintains the firm’s online database of clients and is trained in several client e-billing systems, including TyMetrix 360, Serengeti Tracker, CounselLink, and Corridor. Ms. McCallum also assists the partners with the preparation and submission of the firm’s quarterly reports of lobbying activity to the Senate and the House of Representatives.
Ms. McCallum has a B.A. in English from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, which prepared her well for the eight years she worked as a senior copy editor and professional proofreader immediately prior to joining the firm 17 years ago. Her extensive editorial background has proven valuable in supporting the firm’s partners and associates with their routine correspondence, reports, and formal document preparation.
A native Washingtonian, Tara spends her leisure time enjoying such pastimes as learning hatha yoga, listening to contemporary music, writing poetry, designing custom greeting cards, reading mystery and detective novels, viewing meteorological phenomena, and interior decorating.
